2007 Daylight Savings Time Patch 

DST 2007 Microsft Windows 2000, XP, Vista Patch Fix

Over two years ago the American Government amended the dates and the length of the duration for daylight saving time in order to help the environment. When the law was passed it was set to take effect in 2007. 

It is the year 2007 and now we must now implement the DST changes... and spring is just around the corner.  If you do not want all of your computers, meetings and appointments to be out by an hour during the new daylight savings time period, you need to manually apply a Daylight Savings Time patch on your Microsoft OS computers.  This is such a big issue, that I decided to post this information to help spread the word and make the DST patch it more accessible to all of you. 

Microsoft  published a patch (tzupdater.exe) for XP, and 2003. But...Not for 2000 Workstation or any of the server editions.

If this is a huge problem for you, your company or organizations because perhaps you still have several legacy Windows 2000 workstations and servers kicking around.  Microsoft has a fix only The thought that they will need to upgrade to XP and 2003 server.  Microsoft is providing a DST hotfix - but your company must an extended support contract in place to get it.  Microsoft does provide a registry workaround instead of the patch, if you are not on a technical support contract with them.

If you follow this link, you will find a free non-microsoft tool that will fix your systems, regardless of the Microsoft platform.  The workaround that Microsoft provides is not easy to follow, so we wrote this tool. The IntelliAdmin.com fix is downloadable online.  Syntax: DaylightSavingFix.exe /qinstall
