Your website may be infected with Blackhat Transparent Links!

This is an important warning for unsuspecting webmasters, like yourself, who have been taken advantage of by blackhat techniques in hitcounter code now embedded into your webpages. You may even have clicked on a Google Sponsored Link to get this FREE hitcounter. A sponsored link makes Google big cash for every click, as well as the website that hosts it. So Google got paid, for the spam that is now in your website!

As you read Loren Baker's article, you will realize that Matt Cutts and The Google Spam team have had their attention recently brought to this widely-used sleezy blackhat SEO technique of embedding transparent links to sponsored sites of your so-called free hitcounter.

Not that having something free sponsored by the site you got from is a bad thing, but using a blackhat technique that might get you banned or penalized by Google tomorrow or soon after is definitely not cool!

If you have been using a free hitcounter on your webpages, you might be wise to remove it or at least alayze the code its it prodcing to see if it matches the coding technique that Loren illustrates on his page.
